About Me
Bio
Hello! I'm Jo Ley, an illustrator specialising in vector art.
After working in banking for several years (and drawing all over the loan agreements) I decided to I study Illustration at the University of the Arts London and have been working as an freelance artist ever since.
In 2012 I moved from the UK to Sydney, Australia where I live with my husband Steven and a very spoiled cat called Bon Bon.
I have a broad range of interests that inspire and inform my work: anime, video games like Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley, sci fi movies, cosy crime and podcasts.
Expertise
I have over 12 years experience in the creative industry helping clients solve their briefs. My skills range from storyboarding, toy design and character art to icon design and branding.
My aim for every project is to exceed client expectations and create work that brings a smile. In my spare time I study to expand my skill set with drawing classes, online tutorials and courses to ensure the quality of each project is the best it can be.
Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me and my love of illustration. I look forward to the opportunity to work together to make your vision a reality.
Some clients I have worked with include American Express, Cadbury, Holden, Jetstar, Lancôme, Louis Vuitton, Mobil, Nationwide, Spin Master, Suncorp, Telesign, Toyota, Transport for NSW, and Woolworths.
